The Census Bureau does produce some data on the Baby Boomer generation, which refers to people born in the post-World War II period from 1946 through 1964, from the following sources:
- The Next Four Decades: The Older Population in the United States: 2010 to 2050
issued in 2010. The purpose of this report is to present information on how the age structure of the overall population and the composition of the older population in terms of age, sex, race, and Hispanic origin are expected to change over the next four decades. - Age data for the U.S. and Special Age Groups, such as Selected Characteristics of Baby Boomers 42 to 60 Years Old in 2006 and the older or elderly population. Historical data from the 2000 and 1990 census are also available.
- Our Facts for Features, Oldest Baby Boomers Turn 60! is a special edition in 2006 in which the Census Bureau has compiled a collection of facts relating to this most celebrated generation.
Other agencies which produce data on Baby Boomers are as follows:
- Social Security Administration (http://www.socialsecurity.gov)
and search Baby Boomers. - Bureau of Labor Statistics (http://www.bls.gov)
